I like the composition and contrast but it's not as good as I thought it would turn out. Can't nail them all. My wife actually told me she hates this shot, I think it's because she hates the cat.

This is where you'll find our cat 22 hours of the day. When he's not knocking unattended cups off of tabletops, attacking the dog, or pooping., he's here. Under the upper staircase on a shelf above the lower staircase (if you've been to our house that sentence will make sense).

Yesterday morning I was detoured from my normal route to work due to an accident. I had a 50/50 decision, left or right. I chose left, which just happened to be the wrong choice and would make me take an additional detour later but I did discover some awesome pre-sunrise foggy goodness so it was totally worth it. I didn't have my camera with me because I hate taking it to work. So I woke up and got out the door early with my gear this morning and took the same route. Nabbed a couple good shots but I ended up not having as much time as I thought. I might make this a frequent morning side trip.

...sixtyseven/threehundredsixtyfive...
Tonight I made some super yummy miso soup that apparently is only super yummy to humans over the age of 25. I had some framing issues and my food was getting cold so this is what you get.
Then I had the grumpy girl point at me to practice some manual focusing and depth of field.

This little dude/lady was trapped on my cactus and after saving it's life it was not terribly cooperative as a model.
Ingrate.
I managed to fire off a few gems before it flipped itself on it's back for the 33rd time. I think Pearl the Pug ate it after the photo shoot.

A spectacular frosting this morning!
I really need some snowshoes. I had a great time but after looking through the shots I took, the images just seem to lack something. I don't know maybe I'm just grumpy. Most of the salvageable pictures need a lot time to process on my P.O.S. slow computer but here's a few that were finished tonight.
After a movie with the wife I'll be off to the same field to shoot some stars.
[EDIT: I got called for work tomorrow morning, damn beeper! AND it's friggin' cold out there. I'm gonna wuss out on this star trail project for tonight...maybe I'll get psyched up for it next weekend...or maybe it'll wait until spring. I'll bring my camera with me tomorrow morning, so you may be seeing some more frost.]
